Transport Liaison

Position Overview
Topdeck’s purpose is to inspire young people through life changing travel experiences which can only be achieved by the people who work to deliver and innovate our product.  The Transport Liaison is an integral role to the Operations Team as they are responsible for ensuring our Drivers are equipped to run our trips and supported throughout.  They work closely with the recruitment and training team to ensure new drivers are at Topdeck standard.  They also spend time on the road driving trips or shuttles where required and positioning coaches and ensuring general operational excellence in our Drivers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Coach Drivers are briefed in full, before their trip or allocation on site commences, and given the relevant documentation.
  • Ensure all Coach Drivers are debriefed in full when their trip or allocation on site finishes
  • Ensuring DKV Card and Electronic Toll Box logs are maintained to enable the accounts department to accurately reconcile bimonthly DKV Bills.
  • Work with the Trip Coordinator to assemble start of season information and update all Driver details.
  • In conjunction with the Transport Team, review trip feedback, discuss feedback with Drivers and calculate bonuses based on the guidelines given.
  • In conjuction with the Transport Team, ensure all transport and driver related information and associated paperwork relevant to operating our trips, sites and festivals are kept up to date.
  • Work with the Trip Coordinator to assemble start of season information and update all Driver details.
  • In conjunction with the Transport Team, ensure high performance of Drivers and address any safety, navigation, comfort, attitude and team work issues immediately and professionally.  
  • In conjunction with the Transport Team, share the responsibility for the Transport Support phone out of hours.
  • Assist with the training process of Topdeck Coach Drivers

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • UK or European manual ‘D’ class driving license
  • Digital Tachograph card
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence card.
  • A minimum of one year’s driving experience in continental Europe
  • Be a team player with a good work ethic
  • Good organisation, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and a ‘want to help’ attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • A desire to travel in Europe where required by the business
