Product Load Team Leader

Position Overview

Our London based team are recruiting for the role of Product Load Team Leader. The successful applicant will work within the Load Team to ensure that content procured by Topdeck and Backroads is entered into the travel management system in an accurate and timely manner, and actively participate in the ongoing maintenance of the Topdeck and Backroads product databases to generally maximize the turnover and profits of our brands, internally and externally. They will lead the team in the day-to-day operation and organization, and support and coach team members as well as taking ownership of their own development.  They will inspire all team members to achieve within their role by living and breathing the Topdeck and Backroads Philosophies, and mentor and develop a self-sufficient team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the product loading timeline and loading process of all product for The Touring Group’s distribution systems,
  • Work closely with Marketing, Procurement and Web teams to manage product release,
  • Effectively lead, develop and support the Product Load team members,
  • Accurate and timely database management including Quality Assurance checks to reduce cost of error,
  • System Support to manage queries in a timely manner through to resolution,
  • Assist with the implementation of system changes


Key Performance Indicators

  • Proactive management of load timeline and deadlines
  • Accuracy of product loaded by all team members
  • The correct loading work flow is followed
  • Any changes to the system loading process are implemented for existing as well as future product, and manuals updated accordingly
  • There is an overall understanding of both the operational aspects of our trips as well as the system to ensure that the correct information is gathered and loaded
  • Effective communication with all departments
  • Training targets for all team members
  • Response and resolution targets for all issues

Skills and experience

  • Ability to develop and communicate clear goals and operational plans for the team, and manage day-to-day activities of team members
  • Provide support, coaching and development for fellow team members
  • Inspire team members to achieve in both day-to-day operations and growth within the team
  • Excellent communicator who presents ideas & concepts logically and clearly
  • Strong problem solving ability

  • High attention to detail and ability to resolve issues independently
  • Excellent time management with the ability to set, manage and meet both team and individual timelines

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
  • Travel Studio experience (desirable)
  • Microsoft office experience
