Content Assistant

Overview

We’re looking for an energetic writing wizard with a passion for telling stories and a keen eye for detail. A spelling and grammar perfectionist who can spot an incorrect apostrophe a mile away, and who’s confident writing anything from a kick-ass blog post to a retail landing page. A crafty, organised lover of travel, we want someone who can come in and hit the ground writing.

Reporting to the Social Media and Content Lead, and supporting the Content Specialist, you’ll be part of a content powerhouse who amplify the magic of the Topdeck and Back-Roads Touring brands on a daily basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce engaging, inspirational and actionable copy for the Global Touring brand’s brochures, websites, landing pages, newsletters and trade marketing materials.
  • Manage and curate the Global Touring blogs, including maintaining a content calendar, contributor liaison, uploading and publishing posts.
  • Work closely with the design team to brief creative including video, static, GIF and other formats for use across the blog, onsite and social media.
  • Assist with the development and execution of the content strategy.
  • Assist with the management of best practice across content globally throughout all communication platforms.
  • Communicate and report on global insights and #trends online.
  • Support and assist the Content Specialist and assist in management of the Content Interns.

Experience and Requirements:

  • 1-2 years copywriting experience cross print and web.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing/communications or journalism.
  • Demonstrated usage and passion for blogging and knowledge of Wordpress and other CMS.
  • Blogging and web publishing experience.
  • A strong communicator and creative mind.
  • Exceptional writing skills with impeccable spelling and a hatred of poor grammar and typos.
  • An exceptional eye for detail.
  • A people person, both online and off.
  • And of course…a passion for all things travel related!
